Prywaciarz - przedsiębiorca (refleksje z lekcji)

Abstrakt

The issue is devoted to the word „prywaciarz” used in negative meaning during communist system in Poland. The word is still used in spoken Polish language but has different meaning. However, the main aim of the article is to make students discuss about human active and enterprising attitude towards past (before 1990) and present political situation in Poland. What is more, during the lesson students are allowed to discuss why the word was commonly used by the former authorities and why it had such a neagative meaning. Last but not least, is the difference between the meanings of these words „prywaciarz” and entrepreneur, because both describe people who are enterprising and recourceful. In the end of the lesson students are asked to talk with their parents and grandparents about past, present and future law and economy condition to set up business and which ideal condition they would accept to develop enterprising attitude.
