Abstract

This paper is a polemic with the article The Influence of the Size of Regional Systems on the Results of an Election based on the Example of a Simulation of Alternative Ordinance by J.M. Łach, published in the journal of the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow “Entrepreneurship – Education”. In that article, the author attempted to transpose the American electoral system for presidential elections to those in Poland. The present article gives alternative methods for carrying out such a con- version, focusing on a stricter approach to the rules set by the American system. The aim is to improve on the research conducted by J.M. Łach by identifying methodological errors and correcting them. The article presents the results that Bronisław Komorowski and Andrzej Duda would have received in an Electoral College vote – if such a body were to be established in Poland – based on the second round of the elections in 2015.
